Hey everyone you are in luck because I found one of these subwoofers abandoned on the kerbside and I happen to have some skills in repair. Lots of screws inside to hold the PCB and input panel to the two halves of the "egg". It's not too difficult from that point onwards, but VERY tedious, and I'm still stuck with a power board which is dead, & complicated. Underneath theis ring you will find 6 screws holding the loudspeaker to the frame, or the resonator depending which side you open. Otherwise you need a narrow screwdriver blade to gently squeeze & lever the outer edge out of it's slot. If it's not glued in it will squirm it's way out. the outer edge of the rubber ring is about 1cm deep and 3mm wide, poked into a groove. Grab with a pair of pliers and pull upwards and away. Poke a large flat screwdriver blade under the edge of the rubber ring around the cone and push outwards, NOT towards the cone, that would be silly, you will find the inside of the ring can be lifted up. It's not very easy, but here's how I did it. You have to remove the rubber ring around the outside edge of the cone. It's NOT "Rubbish", He's not talking about the 3 plugs for the feet.
